Salient features of citizens’ charter
  1. All deposit accounts can be opened by individuals/ organizations/ firms on proper identification. The information furnished by the customers under “Know Your Customer” guidelines will not be divulged to external agencies unless the same is demanded by the court of law/ Government of India/ Police Authorities/ Income Tax Authorities for the sake of national interest.
     
  2. Nomination facility is available in all Deposit Accounts including Safe Deposit Lockers.
     
  3. Immediate Credit of Rs.15,000/- for outstation & local cheques is given to the accounts.
     
  4. Interest is paid on delayed collection of cheques.
     
  5. Pre-mature closure of Term Deposit for re-investment in the Bank will not attract any penalty. For pre-mature withdrawal of amount less than Rs.1,00,000/- will not carry any penalty.
     
  6. Balance in the account of deceased customer is paid to Nominee/ Legal Heir. Normally succession certificate will not be insisted upon. If there is any doubt about the genuineness of the Claimant/ Legal Heirs or there is dispute among the Claimants/ Legal Heirs succession certificate may be insisted upon.
     
  7. For transfer of funds Standing Instruction is accepted on payment of Service Charges.
     
  8. Customers can avail Safe Deposit Locker facilities on rent in the branches where locker cabinet has been provided.
     
  9. Pensioners of Central and State Govt. can open a pension account in our authorized branches.
     
  10. Customers can avail remittance facilities through DD/MT/TT/EFT by paying specified charges. Bankers Cheque/DD/MT/TT/EFT for Rs.50,000/- and above will be issued by the Bank through transfer, not by cash.
     
  11. Duplicate Draft/ Bankers Cheque can be issued if the original is lost on request of the purchaser. Stale Draft is also re-validated.
     
  12. The facility of High Value Clearance (amount Rs.1.00 lac and above) available in selected branches where credit is given in the account on the same day.
     
  13. Soiled/ mutilated notes are exchanged in the branches.
     
  14. Senior Citizens are paid 0.5% more interest on their Term Deposits.
     
  15. Loan against Term Deposit/ NSC/ KVP/ LIC Policy is available. Other loan facilities viz. Housing Loan, Consumer Loan, Educational Loan, Car Finance and personal loan to pensioners are also available.
     
  16. “ Customer Day “ is observed at all offices of our Bank covering Branches, Zonal Offices & Head Office on 15th of every month.
     
  17. If any complaint/ grievance is not redressed at the Branch level, the same may be taken up with our concerned Zonal Office. The Complainant is free to write to the Nodal Officer of the Bank at the following address if his grievances are not redressed at Zonal Office level.

18. The complainant is free to take recourse to –

  1. Directorate of Public Grievances, Govt. of India, Cabinet Secretariat, Sansad Marg, New Delhi.
  2. The Banking Ombudsman located in State Capital under RBI Ombudsman Scheme.
  3. The District Consumer Forum under Consumer Protection Act, 1985.
  4. Anonymous complaints will not be entertained.
