Performance Highlights for the third quarter ended December
31, 2005:
General
- Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) as on December 31, 2005 was 12.60 % as against 13.32% as on
September 30, 2005.
- Book value per equity share (face value Rs. 10 each) of the Bank as on December 31, 2005
works out to Rs. 82.60 as against Rs. 58.08 as on December 31, 2004.
- Net Interest Margin (NIM) for Q3 FY06 at 3.19% as against 3.07% in Q2 FY06
- Other Income for Q3 FY06 was higher at Rs. 150.00 crore from as against Rs. 76.04 crore
in Q3 FY05 and Rs. 162.10 crore in Q2 FY06.
Advances
Gross Credit increased from Rs.20786 crores as on 31.12.04 to Rs.27715 crores as on
31.12.05, showing a growth of 33.33%.
- Net Advances at Rs 26685.27 crore grew by 34.87% YoY in Q3 FY2005-06; sequentially up by
21.96%
- Retail Credit at Rs.4677.05 crore up by 29.87% YoY from Rs 3601.35 crore; sequentially
up by 11.79% from Q2 FY06
- Corporate Advances stood at Rs13614.65 crore in Q3 FY06 as against Rs. 9550.98 crore in
Q3 FY05 and Rs. 12268.67 crore in Q2 FY06
- The Bank recovered Rs. 219.29 crore of bad debts upto Q3 in the current fiscal as
against Rs 346.54 crore upto Q3 FY05 and Rs. 139.59 crore in Q2 FY06
- Gross NPAs stand at Rs. 1252.23 crore (4.52%) in Q3 FY06 while Net NPAs stand at Rs.
220.76 crore (0.83%). This compares with Rs. 1284.27 crore (5.80%) of Gross NPAs and Rs.
270.70 crore (1.28%) of Net NPAs at the end of FY05; Gross NPAs stood at Rs. 1265.47 crore
(5.03%) and Net NPAs at Rs. 234.53 crore (0.97%) at the end of Q2 FY06
Deposits
- Total deposits of the Bank increased from Rs.38142 crores as on 31.12.2004 to Rs.44631
crores, registering a growth of 17.01%. sequentially up by 2.13 % from Q2 FY06
- Current Deposits grew by 12.97% from Rs.3160 crores as on 30.9.2005 to Rs.3570 crores as
on 31.12.2005 as against the decline of 4.26% in the corresponding quarter last year.
- Savings Deposits stood at Rs. 14047.61 crore up by 18.93 % YoY from Rs. 11812.13 crore
and 3.28 % sequentially
- The CASA (Current Accounts Deposit-Savings Accounts Deposits) ratio has improved to
25.41% against 24.02 % in Q3 FY05and 23.23 % in Q2 FY06
- The Credit-Deposit (CD) Ratio stood at 62.10 % as against 54.50 % in Q3 FY05 and 57.57 %
in Q2 FY06
