Allahabad Bank Chairman Calls On
Hon’ble Union Finance Minister

Allahabad Bank's CMD, Sri K R Kamath alongwith EDs Sri K K Agarwal & Sri J P Dua in a meeting with Sri P Chidambaram, Hon'ble Finance Minister
Shri K.R. Kamath, Chairman & Managing Director of Allahabad Bank along with the Executive Directors – Shri K.K.Agarwal and Shri J.P.Dua called on Shri P Chidambaram, Hon’ble Union Finance Minister and apprised him of the performance of the Bank during the year 2007-08. The Bank had recorded a net profit of Rs. 975 crores during the year. The Bank made payment of dividend @ 35 % amounting Rs. 86.35 crores to Government of India for the year 2007-08 as against Rs. 74.01 crores paid out in 2006-07. Shri Kamath also gave a brief outline of the Bank’s Business and Profit plan for the year vis-à-vis Q-1 achievements. This happens to be the first meeting of Shri K.R. Kamath with Hon’ble Finance Minister after he has taken over as the Chairman & Managing Director of Allahabad Bank.
The Bank will be holding a Zonal Managers’ meeting during the middle of this month to have a quarterly review of the performance and achievement and draw an action plan for accelerating the growth pace during the remaining part of the current fiscal
