Allahabad Bank starts Twelve Hour Banking
Allahabad Bank, a leading nationalized bank of the country,
turns to twelve hour banking in selected 33 branches across the country from tomorrow
i.e., 14th December, 2005. This unique customer centric initiative has been
planned for the benefit of the customers with varying timing need, by providing
extended 8 AM to 8 PM banking service through selected branch outlets.
This facility will enable a cross section of customers to avail of
banking facilities as per their convenience between 8 AM to 8 PM. From tomorrow i.e.
14.12.205, 12-hour banking is being extended in select branches in
Ahmedabad (Ranna Park Branch), Allahabad (Civil Lines Branch), Bangalore (Jaynagar
Branch), Bhopal (City Centre -Gwalior and Arera Colony - Bhopal Branches), Bhubaneswar
(Rourkela Branches), Chandigarh (Panchkula Branch), Chennai (Annanagar and Madurai
Branches), Hyderabad (Maruthinagar Branch), Jaipur (Main Branch), Kanpur (Burra Colony
Branch), Kolkata (Mission Row, Shyambazar, Gariahat, Alipore, New Alipore and Lake Gardens
Branches), Lucknow (Ujariyan Branches), Mumbai( Andheri -East, Ghatkopar, Mulund, Pune,
Juhu Vile Parle and Fort Branches), New Delhi (Parliament Street, NM Ghaziabad, Faridabad,
Noida and Gurgaon Branches), Patna (Boring Road Branch), Ranchi (Jamshedpur Branch) and
Varanasi (Ravindrapuri Branch). Gradually, the 12-hour banking facility will be extended
to more branches in a phased manner.
The Bank has thus taken yet another step towards bringing in
excellence and innovation in customer service. The Bank achieved phenomenal
business growth of 24.45% as on 30.9.2005 compared to same period last year. Deposit
growth was 21.38% while Credit growth has been 30.17% during the same period. Market share
in deposit and advances has also increased. In tune with the business boom, the
Bank has laid emphasis on technological upgradation, product development, adherence to
social commitment and extended business hour. The Bank is going to install 109
more ATMs shortly in addition to its 91 existing. The Centralized Banking Solutions (CBS)
will bring in 900 branches under same banking net. The Bank has planned to achieve 100%
computerization by 31.3.2006. By introducing 12-hour banking, the Bank fulfils its
professed commitment of extended hour of banking to meet the challenges of time and
growing expectation of the customers.
