Electrical & Allied works of ATM Site,at Shop No-04,S.V.Building, Kadak Pada ,Kalyan, For Kalyan Branch,Allahabad Bank.
Allahabad Bank has pleasure in inviting the tender on item rate basis for the aforesaid work from the empanelled contractors of the Bank for Electrical & Allied works under category of estimated cost of Rs one lakh or more than one lac only. Tender copy may be collected from the Bank at Property dept. Zonal office, Manish commercial centre, 216A- Dr. Annie Besant Road, Worli,, Mumbai - 400 030 .
Earnest Money Deposit [EMD] of Rs.700/- shall be made in the form of a DD or Banker’s cheque payable to Allahabad Bank in Mumbai. The Earnest Money shall not bear any interest. The earnest money will be forfeited in the event of any evasion, refusal or delay on the part of the tenderer to sign & execute the contract on acceptance of the tender.
The EMD shall be returned to unsuccessful tenderers without any interest after finalization of the successful tenderer and the work order will be placed with the successful tenderer within 90 days from date of acceptance of tender prescribed in this notice. However, the EMD of successful tenderer will be retained by the Bank, as part of the security retention.
The successful tenderer shall deposit 2% of the tender value [inclusive of EMD] as security deposit.8% of the amount from each running bill shall be retained from successful contractor by the Bank as retention money. The retention money shall be returned to the contractor after completion of the Defect Liability period of 12 months and after making necessary adjustment towards defects, if any .
All the rates shall be quoted in figures as well as in words without fail. The rates quoted in the tender shall be inclusive of all taxes including sales tax or any other taxes on material or on finished work like work’s contract tax including VAT and transport charges etc. All rates shall remain firm till completion of work and owner shall not consider escalation in price for any reason.
The authorized person of firm/ company submitting the tender must sign all documents. The authorized person of the firm/company must attest any & all additions /alterations in tender documents. Overwriting of figures is not permitted.
All bidders are requested to study the BOQ carefully and get all doubts clarified prior to submitting the tender.
Completed and sealed tenders i.e. Envelope 1 and Envelope 2 in two separate envelopes along with E.M.D. enclosed in one big envelope super scribed with the name of the work shall be submitted to the General Manager, Allahabad Bank, Zonal office, Mumbai, Manish commercial centre,216 A, Dr. Annie Road, Worli, Mumbai - 400 030. not later than 2.00 p.m. on 14/07/2008.
Envelope no.1 To contain Volume I, technical and commercial aspects of the tender and Earnest Money Deposit and Drawing with E.M.D. in the form of a DD or Banker’s cheque payable to Allahabad Bank in Mumbai. Tender without E.M.D. will not be considered and Envelope 2 of Tender will not be opened.
Envelope no.2 To contain Volume II viz only the priced tender complete in all respects without any conditions .
Tenders ( Envelope no. 1) will be opened on14/07/2008 at 2.30 P.M.
Tenders (Envelope no. 2) will be opened after scrutiny & clarifications on technical aspect/ counter proposal if any
The total time fixed for completion of all the works is 15 days including holidays. The work shall be commenced within 3 days from the date of issue of Work Order. The work should be completed strictly within the stipulated period. If the work is not completed within the stipulated time period, the contractor shall be liable to pay the liquidated damages at the rate of 1% per week of the accepted amount tender cost, subject to maximum of 10% of the total value. No extension of time will be given unless the Bank is convinced that the delay is due to circumstances totally beyond the control of the Tenderer.

The work has to be carried out as per site conditions. Any item of the work in part or full may be deleted from the tender during execution as per bank’s requirements and the decision of the Bank will be final.
The Bank reserves the right to accept or reject any tender irrespective of the lowest bidder without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
